Real Food Eatery Is Adding a Second Location

Real Food Eatery, the health-focused, build-your-own-bowl spot that was our pick for 2017’s Best Quick Serve in Philly, is expanding.

They’ve signed a lease for a second location at 1700 Market Street, said Mike Mangold, who owns Real Food Eatery along with John Colosante. The space, formerly occupied by a Verizon store, is near the corner of 18th and Market Streets and right next to Cosi.

In addition to the second branch, which is slated to open in early 2018, the owners are rolling out their own online ordering app to improve wait times for busy downtown lunch crowds in search of fast-casual grain bowls, veggies, and lean proteins. The new store will even be arranged so that pickup customers and in-store orders have separate lines to streamline service.

Their flagship location at 207 South 16th Street will see its first fall menu in the coming weeks, with seasonal menu updates to become standard at both stores next year.
