As part of their A Moment Apart Tour Odesza and their openers, Louis Futon and Sofi Tucker, made their way to Philadelphia last night. Odesza, a duo from Seattle comprised of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight, have been making electronic music together since 2012. On the last leg of their A Moment Apart tour at the Electric Factory, their music could not only be heard from inside the Electric Factory but as far as South Street. The group not only sold out one but all three of their Philadelphia shows. Philly was certainly in for a treat on Tuesday night.
Louis Futon and Sofi Tucker played sets consisting of their own original music and covered a few songs by Odesza to create anticipation for the main performance. After each set the amount of people coming into the venue rose dramatically. It was very apparent how large Odesza’s fanbase has become throughout the years. Slowly, it became more difficult for people to move around as everyone bustled into the venue. But sure enough all could still see the sights on stage once the group began their upbeat set.
Once Odesza finally hit the stage with a song from their album, In Return, the audience began to jump and cheer. You could find the true Odesza fans right in the front. Leaning over the gate and banging their heads to the euphoric beats. Every time their drumline would come on stage the audience would watch in awe. Regardless of how packed the Electric Factory was everyone found a way to enjoy a night of great music. Odesza provided an unforgettable performance filled with soul pounding beats, stunning lights, and feelings of nostalgia.
